Theo Michaels - Biog
TV Presenter, award winning author with nine published cookbooks; his most recent being Cypriana; modern Greek Cypriot food, Executive Chef, after-dinner speaker, columnist, entrepreneur and TV Chef. Theo brings a rare combination of charisma, humour, raw common-sense and a self-deprecating cheekiness that bonds with an audience instantly.
Very much at home on live TV both as a TV chef, presenting or as a vocal (and opinionated) panellist, Theo was contracted exclusively to Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch for over two years finishing in the show’s last week on air at the end of 2023. By January 2024 Theo was asked back on BBC Morning Live and ITV’s This Morning – both being shows Theo has appeared on dozens of times bringing his natural flair for creating delicious food laced with humour, entertainment and always trying to offer value to viewers.
Besides daytime TV, Theo has appeared on Sky channel Dave Big Zuu’s Big Eats, GB News, The Food Network and Masterchef both as a contestant in 2014 and as a judge and guest in 2023 and 2024.
Theo comes from a large Greek Cypriot family, born in London, lived in America, travelled the world with a backpack (literally) and now resides in Hertfordshire with his wife and three kids. Much of Theo’s food is inspired from his Mediterranean roots, however, as a family man Theo became known during lockdown where he and his kids hosted 36 live cookalongs with thousands of families around the world joining in and established Theo as a champion of home cooked accessible food.
Besides his media work, Theo has a degree in Business IT, ran a multi-million pound recruitment business, sat on the board of a PLC and currently owns a coffee shop waffle house, an online business and continues his day job as Executive Chef to an international events business – but his passion has always been TV.
Be it presenting live TV, creating pre-recorded shows or standing on stage whipping a crowd into a frenzy Theo offers a unique style that is warm coupled with a sharp humour and a natural empathy that bonds with audiences around the world.
